I have been involved with the healing arts for most of my life. As a child, I acknowledged my hands’ ability to draw out pain (or so the child in me thought at the time). My family, seemed to always call on me to rub their shoulders or squeeze their feet. Even as a young child, I felt as though my hands were being guided.
Also as a child, the use of herbs seemed to have their place in my life. I have memories of watching my grandmother sit on the porch rubbing leaves up and down her legs, my mother using lemon peel as a deodorant and handing me a slice of lemon when she felt I needed it and garlic seemed to be the remedy of choice for treating childhood ailments.
My mother’s gardens always amazed me. Her roses - oh the aroma, oranges – the juiciest, the eucalyptus trees - amazingly fragrant and yes, lemon trees. Even today, in her mid-70’s she’s still tilling her garden of flowers, fruits and vegetables.
Over the years, I have practiced and studied with Masters and Medicine Teachers receiving certifications as a Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner, Aroma Therapist, in Naturopathic Manipulations, Soft Tissue Pain Relief Therapy, Holistic Health / Disease, Diagnosis & Remedies, Crystals / Gem Therapy and in Cross-Cultural Shamanism. My life and daily experiences continue to provide me with some of my greatest lessons, for which I am grateful.
As a bodyworker, my inability to find the type of aromatherapy products to readily assist me in my practice inspired me to create a line of aromatherapy products that could be used by the professional practitioner and lay person alike. When bodywork of any kind is combined with the mood-enhancing properties of essential oils, we are nurtured on every level of our being, be it mind, body or spirit.
Magic happens when involved with this ancient practice of blending. When incorporating intuition, science and intention, I am filled with an abundance of gratitude for the gift to work with essential oils and herbs.
I give my heartfelt thanks to all the teachers in my life who have inspired me and continue to inspire me to be the greatest I AM.
